A NEW STATE
It is a period of great change. Abby and Christopher relocated to Minneapolis in April. While it was hard to leave their family and friends in Michigan, the Joneses have embraced the exciting new adventures in Minnesota.
The move was prompted by Christopher accepting the position of interaction designer at Honeywell. He’s now being challenged more than ever and feels a great sense of fulfillment. Christopher also has a wonderful group of coworkers, which has helped settling into a new city much easier.
Abby has been exploring the far reaches of the Twin Cities while freelancing. She has embarked on new projects, like Drawn & Delivered where she draws and sends a card to one person per week. She has been working on her own blog, as well as a local blog collective called North Nabe. These activities have kept her busy but have also given her the opportunity to meet many others in the area.
The Joneses are no stranger to travel, and this year was no exception. In July, Christopher, Abby, and Abby’s mother and brother hopped across the pond to England. The trip started in Oxford, where they attended Abby’s cousin’s wedding. From there they went to London and spent some time exploring everything from the Tower of London to the TATE Modern. Of course the real reason for travel is all about food, and the meat pies, Indian cuisine and properly poured pints didn’t disappoint.
